Promoting agricultural innovation in the Alentejo-Algarve-Andalusia region through cross-border collaboration

Within the framework of the RAIA project, led by the Portuguese association In Loco and the Regional Agrarian Office of Cortegana, they seek to promote agricultural innovation in the Alentejo-Algarve-Andalusia cross-border region. Through a collaboration network, it seeks to establish cooperative governance, develop action plans for agricultural initiatives, and strengthen capacities in the public and private sectors. Collaboration makes it possible to identify local needs, improve the management of European funds and create business opportunities in rural areas. This December I have started a series of training sessions on the optimal management of wool on rural farms. These sessions seek to train farmers and ranchers to maximize the quality of wool, adding value to the product directly at origin. The first training has already been carried out successfully, and soon we will continue with the next two face-to-face sessions to deepen techniques and good practices. I will continue to report on this very interesting project! Meanwhile, take a look at the projects we have carried out in 2024. I also attach the PPT of the training day in video format.
